To punish him, a few of us gathered together to sing “Happy Birthday” and sent him a video of it while he was gone on vacation. (Hey, have YOU ever tried to get thirty out-of-tune people to sing “Happy Birthday” on camera?) Yeah…it wasn’t pretty. But it is tradition, so we did it. Sadly, since he wasn’t here to cut his own birthday cake, another Diamond Nexus Labs tradition had to go by the wayside: the tradition of Craig cutting cake pieces as big as dinnerplates. (Though, as the staff here at headquarters grows larger, we’ve had to ask him to cut smaller and smaller pieces so that there would be enough cake for everyone. Even so, most of us still tremble in fear of what Craig calls a “classic size” piece.)

Diamond Nexus Labs would like to welcome the newest member of our extended office family: a six week old bulldog puppy named Bubba. Bubba visited the office for the first time yesterday, thanks to his new mommy Rachel in Customer Service. Bubba’s big brother Ruckus is sure to teach him all kinds of handy things as he grows up, like who keeps dog treats at their desk and where the tennis ball is hidden.

The 24 year old from Dearborn, Michigan is the first Arab-American to hold the Miss USA title, and the second woman in history to wear the stunning Diamond Nexus Labs crown! We can’t wait to see all the great things she’ll accomplish as she proudly showcases it throughout the coming year.

This Sunday, May 16th, the Miss USA 2010 pageant will be broadcast live from Las Vegas on NBC. A new Miss USA will be chosen, and she will become the second woman in history to wear the official Diamond Nexus Labs crown!

Last Wednesday, we at Diamond Nexus Labs took the opportunity to brighten our workday with a Cinco de Mayo potluck lunch! We decorated our office kitchen, shared recipes, got a little silly with sombreros, and finished up the celebration with a piñata in our back warehouse area. Special thanks to Kate who organized the whole event; it was also her birthday!
